Saskatoon-based singer-songwriter extraordinaire Zachary Lucky has always been about his friends. After resurrecting a family tradition and touring as Zachary Lucky and his Prairie Pals, Mr. Lucky is at it again, this time taking a bunch of fellow musicians on tour under the banner of the Prairie Roots Revue.

Lucky, along with Deep Dark Woods frontman Ryan Boldt, Regina's Northcote and New Brunswicker Carly Maicher, is heading out for an eight-date tour around Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

"The whole idea behind the tour was to get a group of like-minded musicians together and take our songs to a few cities and smaller centers (to) perform in the "revue" fashion," said Lucky by email. "(We'll be) backing one another up, similar to a songwriter circle, but a little more exciting!"
