Local Saskatoon slow-core emotionalists Pearson have just finished a video for the tune "Purity of Heart" from their 2008 album Clear Thinking on Mixed Feelings. The clip, written and directed by James Scott, features robot love and torture, a moonshining hillbilly, a motorized dinghy and some explosions. Not exactly what comes to mind when thinking about indie prairie-folk, but it all makes sense when you see it. Check it out via Vimeo below:

Pearson - "Purity of Heart"

Pearson has plans to hit the studio in the late winter/early spring, so watch out for a new record in the near-ish future.
