    Ad Production & Copywriter

  • Consult client/marketing representative regarding information for the ad, and consult the client on script before production of ads
  • Write scripts for ads
  • Write live tags for CFCR sponsors
  • Help/edit the work of others in the office when requested 

    Ad Creation & Production

  • Coordinate times for talent to voice ads & recruit new voice talent
  • Record voices for commercials offering direction and support when necessary
  • Locate appropriate music for ads
  • Produce ads with clients and businesses, and CFCR-related spots (Upcoming events, promotions, new programs, campaigns, initiatives, and more)
  • ​​Ensure ads are completed on schedule
  • Assist in production studio training of volunteers where required
  • Assist with recording live on-air performances (ie: The Buzz)
  • When Program Director is absent, take on some duties including overseeing spoken word programming (and more)
  • Add and schedule commercials to the computer, maintain all ad logs

    Other Duties

  • General office duties (answering phones, greeting the public) 
  • Other general duties as required by the General Manager

​    Qualifications

  • Strong creative and technical writing skills
  • Copywriting, audio editing, and on-air broadcasting experience
  • Ability to remain on deadline and adapt to changing workloads
  • Live sound engineering experience/knowledge is an asset
  • A progressive attitude and good stress management skills
  • Experience in a non-profit organization setting is an asset
  • Post-secondary education and production audio editing experience is an asset (but not required)
