Aboriginal Friendship Centres Information Session
Saskatoon Public Library in partnership with Aboriginal Friendship Centres of Saskatchewan.
Discussion topics include: what is a Friendship Centre, programs offered, who can access their services and the role of Friendship Centres in the community, how the urban Indigenous experience differs from the on-reserve experience, how Friendship Centres are playing a role in Reconciliation, and how we can work together to improve Indigenous and non-Indigenous relations.
Cultural Humility Training is an educational experience in advancing Reconciliation through honouring Indigenous voices and improving cultural relationships. Focused on renewing relationships between Indigenous peoples and non-Indigenous peoples, cultural humility training fosters culturally safe spaces.
