CFCR Community Radio Cultural Showcase 2021

Jan 7, 2021

CFCR Saskatoon Community Radio is very proud to present the 2021 Cultural Showcase - an online music performance event! We met up (safely) with some superb local acts at the Capitol Music Club to present an array of sights and sounds sure to please!

With performances from Dakota Shepherd (First Nations traditional grass dancing with hip-hop), Kiela Caudillo & Ian Longhran (Mexican artist singing in Spanish & Portuguese with acoustic guitar), Koricancha (Andean music with traditional instruments), Alma Flamenca (Flamenco dance performance), and Hanna Rose & The He-Bros (Traditional/Early Jewish), we invite you to kick back and enjoy from the comfort of your home!

The video will be available HERE starting on Friday, January 29th, 2021 at 7pm. There will be no charge to watch the show, but donations are always welcome at cfcr.ca/donate to ensure we can continue to bring special community-based events like these in the future.

This presentation was made possible with the support of the Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan and PAVED Arts.

CFCR acknowledges that we broadcast from Treaty 6 Territory, the homeland of the Cree and Métis Nations, and the traditional territories of the Dene, Saulteaux, Dakota, Lakota, and Nakota. We pay our gratitude to the First Nations and Métis people who have called this ancestral land home for generations, and whose histories, languages, and cultures continue to influence our community. On a foundation of reconciliation, recognition, and respect, CFCR is committed to reaffirming relationships with one another, and to establishing new ones.
