CFCR is now hiring a full-time, paid Volunteer & Community Outreach Coordinator/Office Manager!

This position provides a wide range of administrative support to CFCR staff and volunteers. All staff collaborates to plan and execute events and station initiatives. The applicant should have an interest in the music, arts, and non-profit communities in Saskatoon. Grant writing, graphic design, and an interest in hosting radio from time to time would be assets. This is a temporary, full-time position (January 2023-June 2024) that reports to the General Manager.

Skills Required

  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and Office 365
  • Friendly and professional
  • Organized
  • Creative problem solver
  • Background in arts, culture, non-profits, or radio is an asset
  • Knowledge of Mailchimp and Adobe products is an asset
  • Fundraising and event planning experience is an asset

Office & Administrative Duties

  • Greet visitors to the station: guests and volunteer hosts
  • Reply to station correspondence as required; consult the General Manager if necessary
  • Answer & transfer phone calls, and take messages as required
  • Accept payments, issue receipts and tax receipts for all sales and donations
  • Order office supplies when needed, and posters for events
  • Manage databases of CRSS Members, Volunteers, and Hosts
  • Accept payments, update databases, and issue membership cards
  • Occasional correspondence with all Members for event updates
  • Prepare Annual Report for Annual General Meeting
  • Design posters and social media graphics for events or ad campaigns; this duty is shared with the Program Director
  • Work alongside other staff to coordinate giveaways and prizes
  • Share weekly dishes and cleaning duties with staff
  • Carry out other duties including administrative support for other office staff, as assigned by the General Manager

Volunteer Recruitment, Outreach, and Events

  • Put together a monthly newsletter (using Mailchimp)
  • Research and execute volunteer recruitment opportunities (volunteer fairs and booths at events)
  • Coordinate all volunteers for CFCR events, including postering before events
  • Update the monthly Bulletin Board and community events at cfcr.ca
  • Choose and publish the ‘Get to Know a CFCR Volunteer’ feature at cfcr.ca
  • Build and maintain relationships with other local non-profits.
  • Track hosts' volunteer bingo hours.
  • Help to organize all events

FM-Phasis fundraising campaign

  • Assist in the planning and organization of the campaign
  • Recruit and organize volunteers as needed for in-office and event volunteering
  • Perform data entry; maintain a list of donors, payments, and other necessary information
  • Organize all swag and prize pickup/delivery

Experience

  • Twelve (12) months of previous experience in an office environment
