Civically Speaking
Hosts: Lenore Swystun & Christina Cherneskey
Welcome to Civically Speaking, an informative, interactive animated dialogue and sharing of diverse perspectives related to Saskatoon and wider Saskatchewan municipal and regional issues, including planning and development, and other related issues.
Guests will include folks from a wide variety of backgrounds including local citizens, civil servants, elected representatives, community developers, professors, small business operators, planning colleagues, and students. You name it!
Invited guests will share “ideas” about such things as place-making, rural and urban design, transportation, infrastructure, citizen engagement, and democratic reform (ie: ‘apathy-busting’) – highlighting a number of reasons why it’s important to be engaged in local issues; how easy or difficult it can be; and, the kind of difference an individual can make on the civic level.
This is Saskatoon’s primary dedicated civic discussion radio platform!
