Our second weekend of locally-centred FM-Phasis fundraiser shows was once again all the way off the hook. For this particular weekend, we teamed up with the boys at Ominocity to present a couple of humdingers. Friday night, we hosted the sweet, jangling tones of Foggy Notions, the thick, assaulting tones Shooting Guns and the riffingly riffing tones of special late-editions Black Hell Oil. Check out photos by Program Director Jay "Sir Snaps-a-lot" Allen, below:

On Saturday, Amigos was home to a very different show than Friday. We called up some of our favourite local electronic artists and asked them to throw together a dance party of grand proportions... and that's just what they did. The show featured the beats, beeps and booty-shakers of economics, Form, Dislexik and Quadrant Khan (who threw out one of his intense live sets). Photos below:

We've got one more weekend of live shows to go, and this time, local screen-printing wizards Hardpressed Print Studio is our partner in presentation. The Moas, Bend Sinister (one of only two non-local acts playing FM-Phasis Fest 2012) and Pandas In Japan will destroy Friday, and SAVS, The Wizards and Pearson are throwing down on Saturday for our big FM-Phasis Wrap-up Party! To continue with the theme, these shows are both at Amigos and are each only FIVE DOLLARS to get in. Be there and support community radio in Saskatoon!
