Before our FM-Phasis fundraising drive, Tuesday So Many Roads host Jeff Montgomery had an idea. He thought that if he could become CFCR's top pledge earner for the year, he would shave his beard -- something he hadn't done since the first Pierre Trudeau administration!

As FM-Phasis trundled on, Jeff pulled out all the stops, calling on friends, family and other generous beneficiaries to achieve his goal. By the time the dust settled, Jeff had raised a whopping $4240 for Saskatoon community radio, giving the distinction of top pledge earner EVER a run for its money.

And true to his word, Jeff made a trip to see Aziz at Hamm's Barbershop with CFCR Production Manager Jordan Poniatowski for a straight razor shave. Nobody knew what was going to be under that 35-year-old beard, so beware the photographic results below:









CFCR would like to thank everyone who donated to Jeff's shaving fund, it helped us greatly to reach our fundraising goal of $70,000 this year and keeps community radio alive and well on Saskatoon's airwaves!
