We are saddened to announce the passing of our good friend Bill Jones on Thursday, February 11th, 2021. Bill has been involved with CFCR for many years, both as a dedicated volunteer host and as a one-time member of our sales team.
Bill was the host of the Thursday edition of Hot Buttered Soul playing classic funk, soul and R&B staples from the 50s to the 80s. He often played songs that he grew up with and typically threw in colourful tidbits of info about artists along the way! Bill was always ready to help out with show fill-ins, fundraising, and spreading the joy of volunteer-powered radio throughout our Community. He was one of our biggest supporters - hands down.
We are sure going to miss having “Lunch With Bill”. His contributions to CFCR will always be appreciated, but mostly we are going to miss what a great, positive guy he truly was.
