CFCR is proud to present My City Speaks: How the Arts Impact our Community, Thursday February 28th at the Bassment. Join us for an evening of engaging presentations, featuring guest speakers from across Saskatoon’s vibrant arts community.
CFCR is proud to be on the air 24 hours a day over the holidays! Most of our regular programming will be hosted LIVE by members of our amazing volunteer team, and in the wee hours, you can count on the All-Nighter for a late night dose of Canadian jams.
After a static-filled morning on the CFCR airwaves, we've fixed the problem and are back broadcasting in our full glory! Big thanks to the great folks at Pippin Technical, who were on the scene shortly after the problem was discovered and were able to fix things very quickly. Thanks once again to all you loyal listeners for your patience. Blame it on the (non) end of the world!
You probably noticed that CFCR wasn't sounding so great on the air this morning. Whether the Mayans were right or a flock of seagulls just dive-bombed our transmitter tower, we're trying to locate the problem and get the fantastic, static-free broadcast back up and running as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience!
CFCR and the Broadway Theatre present the encore run of Searching For Sugar Man, a story of two South Africans set out to discover what happened to their unlikely musical hero, the mysterious 1970s rock 'n' roller, Rodriguez. CFCR Members - win tickets!
CFCR members! The ticket wagon strikes again! We have tickets to Leonard Cohen at Credit Union Centre on Tuesday, November 20th. Enter to win now!
CFCR is excited. Very excited. We're damn excited, even. Our annual FM-PHASIS FEST lineup is now officially revealed, and many of favorite locals (and a few out of towners) are joining to help celebrate and fundraise for CFCR Community Radio.
Check out the fine guests stopping by The Buzz, happening every weekday from 5-6pm!
CFCR is very pleased to welcome a brand new show to our Multicultural Weekend lineup!
The Community Radio family was saddened to learn of the passing of Phil Sapieha on August 7, 2012 at the age of 66.
The Saskatoon 2012 Fringe Theatre Festival runs until August 10th, and once again CFCR brings you the Fringe Fest Flyer, a 30-minute segment covering all things Fringe Festival! This year, our most excellent Fringe correspondents Franny and Ishmael give you previews, interviews, and all you need to know when heading to the Fringe.
We pay tribute to long-time Saskatoon broadcaster and instrumental campus/communtiy radio figure Gord Walburn, who passed away this week in Winnipeg.
CFCR and Planet S Magazine are proud to present "Peace from One Province East", a showcase of Saskatoon bands at the Sled Island Music Festival in Calgary. After the success of last year's inaugural CFCR SK showcase, we've decided to pack the minivan and caravan on down the highway!
Normally, CFCR is pretty modest. But when it comes to our volunteers, we become soccer mom-calibre braggarts. So, we're happy to present the second installment of our feature called "Get to Know a CFCR Volunteer" where you can... well... get to know a CFCR volunteer. This round, we chat with host of the Thursday RCMP Kevin McGuigan-Scott (aka Mr. November)!
After the explosive power outage yesterday, CFCR's webstream was feeling a little worse for wear. But our amazing technical team (aka Justen Rokstad) has re-combobulated the thing-a-ma-jig and we're back to streaming our live content online.
That's right! We're hiring a Full-Time Commercial writer/producer. Is that something you excel at? If so, read on!
