The whirlwind that was FM-Phasis almost seems like a distant memory now, as we look towards future fundraisers and next year's funding drive. However, one big piece of unfinished business remained until the end of October: the drawing for our great Grand Prizes.

With the FM-Phasis funding drive fire cooling down, it's time to announce the lucky winners of the Early Bird draw, which was made on Wednesday, October 6th. All donors who paid their pledges of $25 or more were entered in a draw to win either an original painting by local artist Paul Pybus or a Swiss Army luggage set from The Awl Shoppe.
Well folks, it's official... CFCR volunteer host Crystal Clarke (Wednesday Green Eggs & Ham, 6-8am) has reached her goal of $2000 pledged to her program during FM-Phasis. In fact, Crystal had over $2800 pledged towards her show, which is one of the highest individual program totals this year.
Our funding drive musical extravaganza, FM-Phasis Fest 2010 wrapped up last night at Louis' Pub on the U of S campus. The evening featured Kingston, Ontario's PS I Love You, Victoria's Frog Eyes and Vancouverites Japandroids.

A big part of the funding drive is FM-Phasis Fest, which includes some really exciting touring bands as well as great local acts. If you were in attendance at The Ness Creek Music Festival a few weeks back, you may have been lucky enough to catch Saskatoon's gentlemen of the murder ballad, The Deep Dark Woods, who rocked the CFCR-sponsored Friday night stage. CBC Radio 2 was there recording audio, and you can catch the Woods' Ness set on Canada Live on August 19th.
